Die Destillerie Tomintoul bringt in diesen Tagen eine neue Abfüllung auf den Markt, oder besser gesagt: auf ausgewählte europäische und weltweite Märkte, darunter auch Duty Free. Auch am deutschen Markt wird er erhältlich sein. Der Tomintoul Tlàth (gälisch für sanft oder weich) stammt aus ex-Bourbon Fässern und wird mit 40% abgefüllt.
Schmecken soll der alterslose Whisky nach süßem Toffee und Vanille, einem Hauch Minzblätter, weißem Pfeffer, Muskat und getoasteter Vanille. Die offiziellen englischsprachigen Tasting Notes:

Colour: Golden Straw
Nose: Quintessentially Speyside. Light, with some sweet toffee and vanilla and hints of mint leaf and citrus peel.
Palate: Light and creamy. Lively white pepper and some oak-driven spiciness dance on the tongue with background layers of nutmeg and toasted vanilla.
Finish: Spicy with notes of shortbread and fresh mint.
