Knapp 3 Minuten nach Bekanntgabe ist der Bruichladdich-Server implodiert, aber wer Geduld und das dringende Bedürfnis nach einem besonderen Octomore hat, der sollte nicht aufgeben: Bruichladdich veröffentlicht den Octomore OBA Concept – und zwar (leider) nur exklusiv über den Online-Shop.
Was ist nun der OBA Concept? Es ist Adam Hannet’s Geheimnis, er verrät nichts über die Zusammensetzung des Whiskys, der extrem komplex sein soll. 3000 Flaschen zu 500ml gibt es, und man erhält sie zu einem Preis von je 95 Pfund plus Porto und Verpackung (danke an unseren Facebook-Leser König Eckat Der Erste).
Hier jedenfalls das, was Head Distiller Adam Hannett über ihn zu sagen hat:
“Curiosity has led us to a release full of complexity; layered flavours that combine and overlap each other in a way we haven’t seen before in Octomore. The dark dried fruit and bitter chocolate combination on the nose is followed by an explosion on the palate. Dry peat smoke, spicy ginger, liquorice and then tea leaves and damp tobacco. Apricot and sea salt wrapped in a blanket of salty, smoky dried fruit. This whisky has deep, dark depths to discover.”
