Teeling Whiskey Releases Special Distillery Exclusive Bottling to Mark St. Patrick’s Day
Teeling Whiskey released a special Distillery Exclusive bottling this St. Patrick’s Day, focusing on the unique impact Irish Virgin Oak has on our Small Batch Teeling Whiskey. Traditionally, American or French Oak casks previously used in spirit or wine manufacturing are used in the aging of Irish whiskey. The use of Virgin Irish Oak for this special bottling creates a distinctively different rich cream and honey taste experience.
Our Distillery Exclusive is bottled at 46 % ABV and finished in Irish Oak casks. This whiskey is available to purchase exclusively at the Teeling Whiskey Distillery.
This is the 4th release in our Distillery Exclusive range which we have released to mark St. Patrick’s Day 2021. We have continued to explore the influence of different wood types, previously using Hungarian and Chestnut & Chinkapin casks for our Distillery Exclusive releases.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Fresh coffee & sweet cacao intermingled with citrus peel and leather with a slight floral background
Taste: Big hits of vanilla and caramel texture, along with warming oak spice
Finish: Prolonged finish dominated by black peppercorns and clove giving way to oak tannins and a background of vanilla sweetness
The Teeling Whiskey Distillery Exclusive was bottled at 46% with no chill filtration, like all Teeling Whiskeys is now available to buy online through the Distillery web-shop and will be available to buy in the distillery when permitted to re-open at €60 per 70cl bottle in gift tin canister.
