Zwei Arten der Mitgliedschaft gibt es, und je nach Mitgliedschaft wird man über 5 Jahre lang mit bis zu acht großen Bottlings und 16 Samples versorgt. Die Beiträge dafür: zwischen £249 und £899. Für Fans und solche, die es noch werden wollen, sicher eine schöne Möglichkeit, die Entwicklung der Brennerei mitzuverfolgen.

Each year for five years, members of Holyrood Distillery’s Flavour Explorers club will be able to taste the flavour development of the spirit as it matures
Having opened its doors on 30th July, Holyrood Distillery is today launching a unique and limited-edition members’ club focused on exploring how the flavours develop in its spirit during the first five years of maturation.
Holyrood Distillery’s Flavour Explorers club has two tiers of membership, Holyrood and Edinburgh. Both tiers offer whisky fans a five-year membership experience, with the exclusive chance to taste Holyrood Distillery’s spirit each year for five years as it matures. Each tier is limited to 750 members.
This unique offering allows members to taste, own and be part of history – the first spirit and single malt to be distilled in the centre of the Scottish capital since the Edinburgh Distillery (aka Glen Sciennes) closed in 1925.
Holyrood Distillery has a distinctive approach to production, with an absolute focus on creating maximum flavour intensity in its whisky and creating delicious and memorable spirits. The distillery will provide a choice of four different styles of single malt whisky; a sweet style, a fruity/floral style; a spicy style and a smoky style.
Each whisky has been carefully created, using a variety of malted barleys, yeasts and cask finishes to provide maximum flavour intensity.
Members will receive a series of samples and full bottles in limited edition packaging of Holyrood’s spirit each year. In addition, Flavour Explorers will receive a variety of other benefits, including a membership card providing discounts on purchases and free tours of the distillery and a certificate of membership signed by the distillers.
The Holyrood tier of membership
The Holyrood tier (£249) of membership allows members to select one of the distillery’s four core flavour profiles – sweet, fruity/floral, spicy & smoky – to try throughout their membership.
On joining the club, Holyrood tier members receive two 5cl bottles of new-make spirit. On the first and second anniversaries of becoming a member, they will be sent two 5cl bottles of one year old and two-year-old spirit respectively.
On the third anniversary, they will receive a further two miniatures of the three-year-old spirit, which can then be officially called single malt whisky*. On the fourth anniversary, they will receive a further two miniatures of four-year-old whisky, followed in the final year by a full 70cl bottle of five-year-old Holyrood single malt Scotch whisky.
In total, over the course of their five-year membership, Holyrood tier members receive 10 miniatures and one full 70cl bottle.
Holyrood members also receive a 10% discount on anything distilled at Holyrood during their membership and two tickets per year for free tours of the distillery.
The Edinburgh tier of membership
The Edinburgh tier of Flavour Explorers club membership (£899) allows members to try each of the distillery’s four core flavour profiles, sweet, fruity/floral, spicy & smoky, throughout their membership.
On joining, Edinburgh tier members receive four 5cl bottles of new-make spirit, one in each of the four core flavour styles. On the first and second anniversaries of becoming a member, they will be sent a further four 5cl bottles of one-year-old and two-year-old spirit respectively. On the third anniversary, they will receive a further four miniatures of the three-year-old spirit, which can then be officially called single malt whisky*.
On the fourth anniversary, Edinburgh tier members will receive four full 70cl bottles of four-year-old whisky, followed in the final year by four full 70cl bottles of five year old Holyrood single malt Scotch whisky.
In total, over the course of the membership, Edinburgh tier members will receive 16 miniatures and eight full 70cl bottles. In addition, Edinburgh tier members get four free tours of the distillery, plus a 15% discount on any product distilled at Holyrood Distillery during their membership.
