Ein halbes Dutzend Abfüllungen aus der Destillerie Bowmore auf Islay sind heute bei Serge Valentin in der Verkostung zu finden, darunter auch der Bowmore 21 yo ‘Aston Martin’ (4. Ausgabe der Master’s Selection), der aber kein besonderes Gefallen findet (weil er laut Serge interessanterweise in Ansätzen die Veilchen- und Seifentöne der Bowmore früherer Zeiten aufweist). Der Rest sind unabhängig abgefüllte Bowmore, und die spielen heute in einer anderen Liga als der offizielle.
