AUs der Region Campbeltown stammen die Whiskys der Destillerie Glengyle, die sie unter dem Namen Kilkerran abfüllt – und zu Springbank gehört. Damals, als man Glengyle baute, tat man das, um die nötige Anzahl von Destillerien (drei) in Campbeltown zu haben, um weiter als eigenständige Whiskyregion gelten zu können.
Drei ist auch die Anzahl der verkosteten Whiskys – allesamt solche mit Sherryfässern. Keine davon ist einfach bei uns zu erhalten, und nur die letzte kann fast 90 Punkte erreichen, die beiden anderen in der Verkostung bleiben in den niedrigen Achzigern:

Die Cabrach Distillery bereitet sich auf die Eröffnung im Laufe des Sommers vor (wir berichteten darüber). Aber weil hinter ihr kein Konzern und auch keine reichen Privatpersonen stehen, sondern der Cabrach Trust, der sich um die Wiederbelebung dieser ländlichen Gegend in der Speyside kümmert, sind die Schritte dorthin nicht von alleine zu bewältigen.
Nun hat die Brennerei von Social Investment Scotland (SIS) ein mit einer Förderung kombiniertes Darlehen von knapp 140.000 Pfund erhalten, um im Rahmen der Eröffnung der Brennerei den Blend namens The Feering, ein Whisky aus Fässern, die dem Trust von Destillerien der Region gespendet wurden, weiter vermarkten zu können (6000 Flaschen davon wurden abgefüllt). Mit dem Geld sollen auch die ersten Produktionsschritte für den eigenen Whisky und die damit einhergehend nötige Qualitätskontrolle finanziert werden, berichtet insider.co.uk. Die Destillation soll im August beginnen.
Die Region, in der die Brennerei produzieren wird, ist strukturschwach und kann daher Jobs und Tourismus gut gebrauchen. Von den knapp 1000 Personen, die zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts noch in The Cabrach lebten, ist die Bevölkerung auf unter 100 zurückgegangen. Auch das ist ein Grund, warum Social Investment Scotland hier investiert hat, wie Chris Jamieson, der Head of Investment dort, sagt:
“The Cabrach is filled with a rich heritage of whisky making and we’re pleased to support the trust with its overarching plans for regeneration, creating secure and skilled jobs in the area.
“By providing access to affordable finance, in this case to help the distillery prepare for production, SIS is championing local organisations and social enterprises of all sizes to deliver greater impact for the communities and people they work with.”
Schon 2017 durften wir Ihnen einen Loch Lomond 50yo vorstellen, nun hat die Destillerie im schottischen Highland eine neue Abfüllung mit diesem außergewöhnlichen Alter vorgestellt: Der Loch Lomond 50yo wurde im Jahr 1973 destillert, reifte in einer Kombination aus refilled American oak casks, first fill bourbon casks and Oloroso sherry hogsheads (die beiden letzten jeweils konsekutiv als Finish) und ist auf 100 Flaschen weltweit limitiert. Wer ihn in seine Sammlung stellen und genießen will, muss dafür 25.000 GBP auf den Tisch legen.

Loch Lomond Whiskies unveils new limited-edition 50-year-old single malt
Release of Loch Lomond 50 Year Old is five decades in the making
Independent distiller, Loch Lomond Whiskies, has unveiled a new 50-year-old single malt, the latest addition to the brand’s premium portfolio.
A whisky five decades in the making, Loch Lomond 50 Year Old is drawn from Loch Lomond Distillery’s oldest reserves and is exclusively limited to 100 individually-numbered bottles worldwide.
Distilled in 1973 in the distillery’s unique straight neck pot stills, using 100% unpeated malted barley, this distinctive single malt whisky has been aged in a combination of refilled American oak casks, first fill bourbon casks and Oloroso sherry hogsheads.
The maturation process is carefully managed by Loch Lomond Whiskies’ master blender, Michael Henry, who joined Loch Lomond Distillery in 2007. The distillery’s oldest and rarest whisky casks remain exclusively under his personal care.
Loch Lomond 50 Year Old was initially crafted with gentle maturation in refilled American oak casks, providing the spirit with enough time to develop a rich character. Additional maturation in first fill bourbon casks in 2011, followed by a re-cask in Oloroso sherry hogsheads in 2017, have further enhanced the complexity of this elegant single malt.
The spirit’s six years in bourbon casks has imparted a rich, creamy vanilla flavour that complements the whisky’s fruity aroma. The influence of the final six years in an Oloroso sherry cask is evident on the nose, with notes of nutmeg developing into a warming cinnamon flavour that leaves a long finish of woody spice.
The result is a light whisky with notes of white flesh fruits, crisp citrus and a tropical character that pays testament to its remarkable age.
Since production began in 1966 at the current Loch Lomond site, ingenuity has been at the heart of the distillery’s methods. It is home to Scotland’s only set of straight neck pot stills, installed as part of its founding and exclusively responsible for the first 30 years of production, which allows Michael Henry and his team to carefully shape the character of the whisky at the point of distillation, creating a lighter spirit with a distinctive fruit flavour. To taste the Loch Lomond 50 Year Old is to go almost right back to the beginning of this distillery’s incredible journey – one defined by innovation and exploration in its craft.
In homage to these unique stills, a careful selection of copper finishings and touches have been woven into the design of the 50 Year Old’s lead crystal decanter, crafted by Glencairn Crystal Studio in Scotland, and the external wooden display cabinet. The natural oak finish nods to Michael Henry’s careful selection of casks and the beauty of the surrounding forests of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Contour lines and the deep turquoise colours outlining the shape of the loch from which the distillery takes it name, further pays respect to the hidden depths of this remarkable whisky’s history and heritage. Hidden within the display cabinet is a 50ml sample of the liquid and a hardback book that provides its lucky few owners with an in-depth account of the liquid, its distinctive flavour and distillation and maturation journey.
Michael Henry, master distiller at Loch Lomond Group, said:

Non-chill-filtered and natural in colour, Loch Lomond 50 Year Old is bottled at cask strength (42.6% ABV) and is available to purchase from the Loch Lomond Whiskies online store (www.lochlomondwhiskies.com) and worldwide through specialist retailers, priced at £25,000.
Nose: Refreshing orange and mint, sweet fruit of grilled peach and mango, nutmeg.
Palate: Beautiful depth of flavour, melted brown sugar, tangy orange marmalade and dark fruits, plum and cherry before creamy vanilla fudge and warming cinnamon spice.
Finish: Long, mouth-watering watermelon and kiwi with a grapefruit citrus edge, some green tea and lasting wood spice.
Lux Row Distillers hat eine Line Extension für ihren Rebel 100 Bourbon auf den Markt gebracht- und interessanterweise wird diese nur außerhalb der USA erhältlich sein: Der neue Rebel 100 Bourbon Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish ist ein 4 Jahre alter Kentucky Straight Bourbon, der mit 50% vol. Alkoholstärke abgefüllt ist. Er folgt den French Oak, Cognac, Tawny Port und Cabernet Sauvignon-Finishes, die auch in Deutschland im Handel sind.
Der Rebel 100 Bourbon Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish ist auf 6000 Flaschen weltweit limitiert, der ungefähre Verkaufspreis sollte in Deutschland dann um die 50 Euro pro Flasche liegen. Er bietet laut Lux Row Distillers Noten von Karamell, Vanille, Rosinen und Feigen sowie Pflaumen, würzige Eiche und nussige Anklänge.

Wenn man sich in der Whiskywelt auf etwas verlassen kann, dann auf den Umstand, dass die Destillerie Linkwood Fässer an unabhängige Abfüller abgibt. Das war so, ist so und bleibt hoffentlich so.
Was nicht so bleibt, ist Linkwood. Die Originalbrennerei wurde 1962 komplett überholt, Anfang der Siebziger wurde eine zweite Brennerei aufs Gelände gesetzt und die alte Linkwood-Destillerie im Jahr 1985 geschlossen. 2012 wurde dann die neue Destillerie erweitert.
Serge verkostet heute einen Whisky aus der neu ausgebauten Linkwood Distillery, und einen, der 1960, also noch vor der Renovierung der ersten Linkwood Distillery, destilliert wurde. Und beide gefallen in der Verkostung:

Die zweite Auflage der Ardbeg Anthology Collection stammt aus Madeira- und Bourbonfässern
München / Islay 9. Juli 2024. In der Ardbeg Anthology Collection erscheint der zweite Release: Eine verlockend-süße Abfüllung aus, in Madeira- und in ehemaligen Bourbonfässern gereiftem 14jährigen Whisky. Liebhaber entdecken im neuen The Unicorn’s Tale ultimative Raucharomen mit Noten von Banane, Menthol und Limette. In der Anthology Collection vereint Ardbeg experimentell rare Single Malts aus ungewöhnlichen Fasskombinationen. Als Hommage an den Hybridstil dieser Whiskys tragen die Abfüllungen den Namen von Sagengestalten. Sie wurden von Insulanern auf Islay angeblich gesichtet, trotz manch Zweifel an die wahre Existenz.
The Unicorn’s Tale ist ein geheimnisvoller Single Malt. Er vereint tropische Süße von, in Malmsey-Madeira-Fässern gereiftem Whisky mit den für Ardbeg typischen würzigen, rauchigen Noten. Dies ergibt eine fruchtig-aromatische und rauchige Kreation. Die Abfüllung folgt auf die Erstausgabe der neuen Reihe von Ardbeg: The Harpy’s Tale, mit dem für Ardbeg ersten, in Sauternes-Fässern gereiften Whisky.
Dr. Bill Lumsden, Ardbegs Director of Whisky Creation, sagt:
„Wir experimentieren gerne, wie wir durch die Balance aus Rauch und Aroma unseren Whiskys neue Dimensionen verleihen. Farbe: Pures Gold
An der Nase: Reichhaltig, süß, aromatisch und fruchtig – Aromen von Bananenbrot und Biskuitpudding erfüllen die Sinne. Sirup-Noten wandeln sich zu einem unverwechselbaren Duft brennenden Zedernholzes. Ein kleiner Spritzer Wasser setzt eine Fülle tropischer Früchte frei. Eukalyptusöl mischt sich mit mildem, aromatischem Rauch.
Am Gaumen: Limette und süße Pfirsiche galoppieren über die Zunge. Kräftige Aromen geräucherter Früchte und gebackenen Brots werden von antiseptischen Lutschpastillen, Kreosot-Teer und Anis abgelöst. Gerstenmalz-Töne verbinden sich mit Muskatnuss und Torfrauch.
Nachhall: Der Einfluss seltener Madeira-Fässer ist unbestreitbar. Ein launisch-rauchiges Finish begrüßt einen langen und anhaltenden Nachhall aus Menthol, Gewürznelke, Holzrauch und Kampfer.

Single Malt für Connaisseure von Gordon & MacPhail
Mit einer außergewöhnlichen Tiefe und Bandbreite an Erfahrung kombiniert Gordon & MacPhail Eichenholz, Destillat und Zeit zu einem Portfolio ikonischer Whiskys. Dazu zählen insgesamt zwölf Neuheiten, die bis zu 50 Jahre im Fass aufbewahrt wurden. Die vollständige Liste finden Sie im Anhang.
Der Balmenach 2008/2024 stammt aus der idyllisch in den Cromadale Hills gelegenen Brennerei, deren Whiskys fast ausschließlich unabhängig abgefüllt erhältlich sind. Im Sherryfass gereift, präsentiert er bei fassstarken 61,8% vol. geradezu idealtypische Noten für die Reifung in den andalusischen Casks. Im Jahr der Brennerei-Neueröffnung destilliert, ist der Tamnavulin 2007/2024 ein frisches Erlebnis mit Noten von Kokos und tropischen Früchten aus dem Bourbonfass, die würzig ausklingen. Erst 1966 gegründet, stand die Tamnavulin Distillery bereits insgesamt 30 Jahre still.
Wer den Inbegriff eines Speyside-Whiskys sucht, wird bei Glenlivet fündig. Im Refill American Hogshead Nr. 62862 gereift, entfaltet der Glenlivet 1996/2024 neben Aromen von tropischen und Zitrusfrüchten auch köstliche Noten von gerösteten Erdnüssen und Vanille-Fudge. Islay mal anders erhält, wer sich eine der insgesamt 165 Flaschen des Bunnahabhain 1989/2024 sichert. Der Single Malt von der Whisky-Insel ist von hellen und fruchtigen Tönen statt Rauch geprägt.

Komplexe Octave Casks: Nachschub aus einer der größten Whiskysammlungen
Die authentischen Abfüllungen von Duncan Taylor & Co. basieren auf einer Whiskysammlung, die zu einer der größten ihrer Art zählt. Für The Octave gönnt der unabhängige Abfüller ausgewählten Single und Blended Malts oder Single Grains in den ca. 50 Liter fassenden Sherry-Oktav-Fässern ein mehrmonatiges Finish – und erzielt so ausgesprochen raffinierte, ausgewogene Geschmacksprofile.
Drei Neuheiten nur für Kirsch-Kunden treten den Beweis an – angeführt vom vielschichtigen Glenrothes 2013/2023. Komplexe Aromen von gerösteten Marshmallows, Apfelkuchen und grünen Oliven werden hier abgelöst von Noten reifer Birnen, Walnüssen und weißer Schokolade.
Einblicke in die vor allem für Blends produzierende Miltonduff Distillery aus der Nähe von Elgin in der Speyside erhalten anspruchsvolle Genießer mit dem Miltonduff 2011/2024. Ganze neun Monate verbrachte der Single Malt in den Sherry Octaves. Das Ergebnis: Aromen von Bonbons, Paprika und Apfelkompott, die zu dunkler Schokolade, Erdbeermarmelade und grünem Tee übergehen.
Mit dem Highland Single Malt 2010/2024 begeben sich Whisky-Fans auf eine Entdeckungstour. Mögliche Hinweise auf die Herkunft des mysteriösen Highlanders finden diese in seinem Geschmacksprofil. Hier treffen Birne und Aprikosenmarmelade auf mit Salz und Pfeffer gewürzte Chips, Pflaumensaft, Meeresbrise, grüne Oliven und Karamell-Pudding-Kuchen.

Weicher, cremiger, komplexer – so beschreibt Dr. Bill Lumsden den neuen Glenmorangie The Original 12yo, der den bisherigen Glenmorangie The Original 10yo ersetzt, der in den 60ern des vorigen Jahrhunderts eingeführt wurde.
Dr. Bill Lumsden erklärt die Veränderung auch ein wenig mit seiner Geschichte mit Glenmorangie: Als er 1984 zum ersten Mal während seines Studiums Whisky trank, war es Glenmorangie – und obwohl er mit seiner Arbeit bei der Destillerie danach immer versuchte, diesem Originalgeschmack, den er damals erlebte, treu zu bleiben, kamen dann doch irgendwann die Gedanken auf, wie man das Flaggschiff der Brennerei noch weicher und ausdrucksstärker machen könne.
“The result is The Original 12 Years Old. Smoother, creamier and even more complex – I like to think it ‘turns up the volume’ on our signature whisky’s classic notes of orange, vanilla, peach and honey.”

Der Glenmorangie The Original 12yo wird, so wie sein Vorgänger, mit 40% vol. Alkoholstärke abgefüllt. Wer in jetzt schon verkosten will, muss ihn momentan noch auf der Webseite von Glenmorangie bestellen (leider nur aus UK ohne Nordirland möglich) oder im Visitor Center kaufen – ab AUgust wird er dann auch in den Handel in UK kommen. Wie die weitere Ausrollung geplant ist, ist dem Artikel in The Spirits Business nicht zu entnehmen. Dafür aber der Preis: Der Glenmorangie The Original wird in UK 40 Pfund kosten.
Aus dem gleichen Jahr wie die Glenfiddich Archive Collection for Germany (über den Launch berichteten wir hier) stammt der Glenfiddich Archive Collection 1990, der in einer Auflage von 276 Flaschen exklusiv in den Travel Retail Stores von Gebrüder Heinemann in Frankfurt, Istanbul und Amsterdam Schiphol im Lauf des Juli erhältlich sein wird. Auch er stammt aus einem Hogshead aus Amerikanischer Eiche und durfte in ihm volle 33 Jahre lang reifen.
Das Fass wurde so wie alle anderen Fässer der Archive Collection von Malt Master Brian Kinsman ausgesucht, der darüber sagt:
“A window into the true heart and character of Glenfiddich, this American Oak Hogshead cask has been silent in its slumber for the past half century, allowing layers of flavor to build and nuances teased out as they are nurtured along their journey of maturation, and are now being awakened for the very first time to allow a taste of unrepeatable character. On the nose, The Glenfiddich Archive Collection American Oak Hogshead 1990 33-Year-Old presents notes of buttery, creamy toffee with a surprisingly delicate flavor of rosewater, pear, sorbet and oak, and a satisfying sweet finish.”
Wer den Glenfiddich Archive Collection 1990 im Travel Retail kaufen will, muss dafür 3.990,- Euro auf den Tisch legen, 400 Euro mehr als für die Deutschlandausgabe.
Auch zu uns nach Deutschland wird die neue Meikle Tòir Turbo 2024 Edition, der torfige Single Malt aus der Destillerie Glenallachie, kommen – und er verspricht einige Besonderheiten: Er ist mit Torf aus St. Fergus vom schottischen Festland gedarrt, bei der Abfüllung hatte er einen Torfgrad von 70PPM. Interessant bei ihm auch die außergewöhnliche lange Fermentationszeit von 160 Stunden, ungefähr das Dreifache dessen, was man sonst in Destillerien sieht.

Independent Scotch whisky producer The GlenAllachie Distillers Company issues peated single malt brand Meikle Tòir’s annual limited release: The Turbo 2024 Edition.
The new label, launched in September 2023, features Scotch whisky produced at independent distillery The GlenAllachie in Speyside.
With veteran whisky maker Billy Walker at the helm since 2017, the distillery introduced annual peated productions of approximately six weeks starting the following year.
The annual outturn of peated new make spirit amounts to around 100,000 Litres of Alcohol (LOA): roughly a tenth of the distillery’s total output.
Since its launch, Meikle Tòir has scooped exceptional accolades, including 93 points for The Turbo 2023 Edition (IWSC, 2024). Judges commented that the “palate is a delight of peach and fruity notes, balanced by a zesty finish”.
Following extraordinary demand for its previous iteration, The Turbo 2024 Edition (50% ABV, UK RRSP £55.99) is a marriage of five American virgin oak casks and four Oloroso hogsheads, producing just 2,200 bottles.
The product name, coined by Walker, is intended to reflect the intense smoke character achieved by capturing the spirit cut with the highest phenol level during distillation.
The phenolic content of the spirit at the point of bottling was an impressive 70 Parts per Million (PPM), balanced with “waves of toasted nuts, salted caramel and dark chocolate truffles” delivered by five years in the rich casks.
To create Meikle Tòir, The GlenAllachie used mainland peat from St. Fergus to contribute a sweeter smoke flavour in comparison to island peat.
The whisky also underwent an extended fermentation period of 160 hours—part of Walker’s adaptations implemented when he took ownership—to develop a complex and flavourful distillate rich in esters.
All Meikle Tòir products are proudly presented with a five-year age statement, without added colouring and non-chill filtered.
Additionally, the brand’s packaging, which features a hand-drawn illustration by Scottish artist Iain McIntosh, is sourced exclusively from UK-based suppliers to reduce its carbon footprint.
The peated label’s core range consists of three other products: The Original, The Sherry One and The Chinquapin One.
Remarking on the new release, Walker comments:
“We have been thrilled at the reception of Meikle Tòir among the whisky community and beyond over the last ten months. For the team and I, it was essential to begin a peated campaign when we took over the reins at The GlenAllachie and use mainland peat to complement the spirit’s heather honey DNA.
“The Turbo, by its nature, is incredibly limited, but if you can get your hands on it, it’s an opportunity not to be missed. The 2024 Edition is a very moreish dram packed full of sweet campfire smoke alongside dried fruit and chocolate tones.”

Tasting Notes
Meikle Tòir The Turbo 2024 Edition, 5-year-old– 50% ABV
Nose: Smoked blood orange, cinnamon spice and manuka honey, with bursts of rich dark chocolate and roasted hazelnuts.
Taste: Worn leather, baking spices and cigar box, followed by honey, hazelnuts and dried red berries, with burnt orange peel and salted caramel.
Unser Leser Kurt Rottenfußer hat im Mai dieses Jahres Schottland und Irland bereist und dabei zwei recht unbekannte Destillerien besucht und von dort einige Bilder und Infos mitgebracht – er hat uns gestattet, diese mit unseren Lesern zu teilen.
Beginnen möchten wir mit der Crafty Distillery in den schottischen Lowlands, die eigentlich für Ihren Hills&Harbour Gin bekannt ist – aber auch Whisky brennt (wir haben sie 2018 in einer Liste neu eröffneter Brennereien in Schottland geführt). Den ersten Whisky von dort soll es erst zum Jahreswechsel 2025/2026 geben.
Hier einige Infos, die uns Kurt geschickt hat:
Auf der Fahrt von der Fähre in Newcastle upon Tyne nach Cymrian (geht die Fähre nach Belfast) sind wir an einer Distillery vorbei gefahren, welche ich vorher überhaupt nicht auf dem Schirm hatte.
Die „Crafty distillery“ . An der Abzweigung von der Straße nach Stanraer in Richtung Wigtown. (https://craftydistillery.com/). Seither eher bekannt durch den Hills&Harbour Gin.
Trotzdem ich nicht angemeldet war, hat mich der Distillery Manager Nicky Docherty sehr kurz durch die Brennerei geführt und ein paar Fragen beantwortet. Seit knapp 1,5 Jahren machen sie auch Whisky Spirit. Durfte ihn auch probieren.

Ende 2025/Anfang 2026 soll der erste dann 3jährige Whisky auf den Markt kommen.
Royal Salute, die Luxus-Blendmarke von Pernod Ricard, stellt mit dem 62 Gun Salute eine dreiteilige Serie vor, und zwar als permanente Mitglieder der Core-Range. Sie sollen dabei an der Spitze der Range stehen.
Die Serie besteht aus drei Abfüllungen: den Royal Salute 62 Gun Salute Original Reserve, den Royal Salute 62 Gun Salute American Oak Reserve and den Royal Salute 62 Gun Salute Peated Reserve. Wer ein Auge auf die Bottlings von Royal Salute hat, der wird bemerkt haben, dass die Original Reserve bereits im ANgebot war, nun aber um die zwei neuen Abfüllungen zur Serie ergänzt wurde.
Kreiert wurde sie von Master Blender Sandy Hyslop, der dazu sagte:
“As the crowning jewel in Royal Salute’s portfolio, the crafting process behind this collection was lengthy and meticulous until I was absolutely confident we had blends representative of an authentic 62 Gun Salute ceremony.
“The collection’s flavour profile is beautifully complex and rounded, connecting all the senses to create a lasting taste experience that reflects the significance of the occasion.”
Der Royal Salute 62 Gun Salute Original Reserve ist aus über 50 Single Malts und Grains geblendet, die Tasting Notes lesen sich wie folgt:
NOSE: An explosion of power, bursting with a zenith of intense sweet orange, mingles with a superb depth of nutty, oaky flavour. Just a sensation of smoke evokes a top dressing of distinction.
PALATE: Extremely rich with sumptuous fruit notes. Lavish swirls of ripe plums seamlessly combine with a complex essence of sherried sweetness. Magnificent notes of fine dark chocolate marry hints of warm cinnamon.
FINISH: The impressively long finish lingers luxuriously with superlative structure.
Der Royal Salute 62 Gun Salute American Oak Reserve ist ebenfalls aus über 50 Whiskys komponiert und bietet die folgenden Tasting Notes
NOSE: Sweet notes of vanilla fudge, freshly baked shortbread and genoise sponge are intertwined with fruity notes of blueberry muffins, sweet red apples and homemade strawberry jam. With time, hints of hazelnuts, lime zest and toasted oak develop.
PALATE: Bursting with ripe tropical fruit flavours – namely pineapples, mango and papaya. These give way to sweet notes of butterscotch, vanilla custard and crystallised ginger.
FINISH: Long, sweet and complex.
In der Royal Salute 62 Gun Salute Peated Reserve finden sich unter den 50 Whiskys auch solche aus der Lost Distillery Caperdonich – hier die Tasting Notes:
NOSE: Initial fruity notes of dark cherries, ripe pears and sweet green apples give way to blossom honey, milk chocolate honeycomb, homemade orange marmalade and soft bonfire smoke.
PALATE: Tangy orange zest and lemon sherbet are layered upon notes of ripe peaches, Jamaican ginger cake, toasted oak and wisps of sweet peat smoke.
FINISH: A long, lively finish with enduring sweet smoke notes.
Die Preise und die Verfügbarkeit sind wir Ihnen noch schuldig – die Flaschen kosten 2770 Euro (der Peated Reserve 3000 Euro). Dieser ist zunächst nur im Duty Free erhältlich, wird dann aber, so wie die anderen beiden schon jetzt, im Handel zu finden sein.
Über den Status von Imperial unter den Lost Distilleries haben wir gestern einiges geschrieben, heute konzentrieren wir uns auf die sechs Abfüllungen, die Serge in der Fortsetzung seiner Verkostung präsentiert. Sie wurden zwischen 2014 und 2019 gebottelt, und alle können hohe Wertungen einstreifen. Die Altersangaben liegen diesmal zwischen 18 und 25 Jahren.

Dunville’s Irish Whiskey celebrates Belfast TradFest with exclusive festival release
Dunville’s Irish Whiskey is collaborating with Belfast TradFest to release an exclusive whiskey bottling to celebrate Ireland’s fastest growing festival of traditional music.
Dunville’s1808 Belfast TradFest Irish Whiskey is a modern blend of malt, grain and pot still whiskeys from Dunville’s ‘The Spirit of Belfast’, featuring a bespoke Belfast TradFest label. Finished in Bourbon and Virgin American Oak casks, the limited release of 300 bottles at 46% abv will be available to purchase from Maddens Bar, The Garrick Bar, The Friend at Hand Whiskey Shop and online from The Echlinville Distillery from 21July, priced £55. The whiskey can also be sampled by the glass, exclusively at Belfast TradFest’s Dunville’s Irish Whiskey Session Trail venues across the city from 21-28 July.
